Brian has over twenty years of experience working in independent schools, specifically with students that have learning differences, ADHD, and other challenges that make traditional classrooms and schools inadequate environments for these learners.
Brian has learning disabilities and ADHD and dropped out of high school after the ninth grade. He acquired an age-waiver and enlisted in the Armed Forces at seventeen years of age. Brian attributes his "awakening" to the demands of Basic Training, where he taught himself how to learn from Reading. Eventually, Brian earned a B.S. in Criminal Justice and a Master of Education degree. He dedicated the majority of his professional career to helping students that learn differently.
Brian has worked as a teacher, Dorm-Parent, coach, Supervisor of Boarding Services, and Director of Admissions. Additionally, Brian has presented and conducted workshops domestically and internationally, on the integration of a continuum of services for students with learning differences.
In addition to his own challenges with learning differences and his experience working with students and families, Brian's son contends with learning differences and ADHD. Brian possess a complete perspective of this journey that makes him uniquely qualified to assist your family.
